Cork Midsummer Parade 2023
On 18th June 2023, the second Midsummer Parade took place in Cork City Centre. Fantastical floats, puppets, musicians, and all manner of masked performers, dancers and revellers took to the streets for a celebration of the longest day of the year, and the creativity of Cork communities! Commissioned by Cork Midsummer Festival, and supported by the Arts Council.
Dragon of Shandon Parade 2023
For the 18th year, the Dragon has made her triumphant return from the underworld accompanied by her loyal cohort of ghouls, demons and mysterious creatures.. Winding our way from Church Street, down Shandon Street and over the bridge to a grand finale on the Coal Quay, dancers, musicians, skeletons and performers took over the city of Cork for a night of chaos and mischief.
